Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or related degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering technology with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
Req´d knowledge includes working familiarity with Nat´l Codes and Stds, ANSI Y115B Drafting stds; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing System; General design principles; Applicable Manufacturing process experience; and Weld designation.
Experience leading a mechanical design team including budgets, schedules, quality.
Must be organized, technically competent, have effective oral and written communications, experienced in working in a multi-disciplined environment and interfacing with engineers, designers, and drafters.
Design experience with modeling software: Solidworks, Autocad, and/or Pro-E.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with encoders, positioning systems, PLC control systems, conveyors and lifts, and automated manufacturing is desired.
Experience with powder transportation equipment (vibrating conveyors, hoppers, etc.), drum handling, or gloveboxes design is plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
