Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and/or years of experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of applicable experience (Experience must be related to design and/or procurement of piping, in-line piping components, manual valves, and piping fabrications.)
- Excellent written and oral communications skills. Must be organized, pay attention to detail and provide consistent follow-up on issues.
- Possesses self-start initiative and a positive teamwork attitude toward execution of assignments.
- Must have prior experience in leading multi-discipline or multi-organizational teams in a fast paced, professional environment.
- Must have a minimum five (5) years experience working in the nuclear field related to DOE or commercial nuclear power facilities or commercial fuel fabrication facilities.
- Must have working familiarity with ASME B31.3 piping code, and ASTM/ASME standards for 304L stainless steel.
- Must be willing to travel as the needs of the position and arising issues dictate.
- Competent in the use of personal computers using common workplace software applications associated with Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Word and Excel.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preference will be extended to candidates with significant experience in technical specification development and Supplier technical oversight related to piping, valves, and in-line components used in ASME B31.3 systems.
- Experience with the review and evaluation of sketches and submittals against design drawings, take-off or bill of material preparation, coordination of equipment/commodity deliveries versus construction need dates is highly desired.
- Familiarization with QA provisions typically applied to work performed for the nuclear industry.
- Experience with 310NAG stainless, zirconium and titanium piping, valves, and other commodity products is highly desired.
- Working familiarity with tanks/welded equipment and ASME Section VIII code requirements is highly desired.
